Who We Are
This website is premiumweb.blog — a thought-leadership blog by Máté Baranyai (MateWeb), offering practical advice on web design, online presence, and growth for solopreneurs and small premium brands.
Our main business site is mateweb.site.
What Data We Collect — And Why
We keep data collection to an absolute minimum. Here’s what we may collect and why:
1. Comments
If you leave a comment:
We store your name, email, website (if provided), comment content, IP address, and browser user agent.
This helps us detect and block spam.
Your email may be anonymized and sent to Gravatar to display a profile picture (if you use it). Gravatar’s privacy policy is here.
Approved comments (and metadata) are stored indefinitely to auto-approve future comments.
📌 Note: We don’t run a comment section on premiumweb.blog and plan to keep it that way. This clause is included only in case comments are ever enabled.
2. Media
If you upload images (e.g., in a comment):
Please avoid files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS).
Visitors can download and extract location data from images.
3. Cookies
If comments are enabled, you may opt in to cookies that remember your name/email/website for 1 year.
Temporary cookies are used for login sessions (2 days) or screen preferences (1 year).
We do not use tracking, marketing, or analytics cookies on premiumweb.blog.
You can disable cookies via your browser settings at any time.
4. Embedded Content
Posts may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images). These act as if you visited the original site — they may collect data, use cookies, or track your activity.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties — except:
With automated spam detection services (e.g., Akismet) if comments are enabled.
Your IP address may be included in password reset emails (if user accounts exist).
6. Data Retention
Comments: stored indefinitely (for spam moderation).
User accounts (if any): profile data is stored until you delete it.
We do not collect or store data beyond what’s strictly necessary.
7. Your Rights
If we ever hold your personal data, you can:
Request a copy of your data
Request deletion (unless we must keep it for legal/security reasons)
Edit your info anytime (if you have an account)
Important Notes
premiumweb.blog is a static, content-only blog. There are no user accounts, no e-commerce, and no tracking by default.
This policy exists as a precaution — in practice, we collect almost nothing.
All sites we build (including this one) are mobile-friendly, fast, and privacy-conscious.
